The state finalists for the 2022 Keep Australia Beautiful Sustainable Communities Tidy Towns Awards are:

NSW – Singleton
Population: 23,380
Singleton and its communities are the Heart of the Hunter, the Jewel of the State and have the Spirit of the Nation. Like a rare diamond our facets are many and diverse in natural beauty, build heritage and strong Aboriginal and European cultures.
NT – Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa)
Population: ~500
Santa Teresa is an Eastern Arrernte community 85km south east of Alice Springs (NT) on Arrernte country. It is a vibrant, active and proud community.


TAS – King Island
Population: 1,600
King Island in Bass Strait was settled, in the main, by soldier settlers after both World Wars. It has an economic basis of beef, crays and cheese with tourism and mining.
SA – Kimba
Population: 1,061
Kimba is a motivated and innovative town and farming community located on the stunning Eyre Peninsula.


WA – Boddington
Population: 1,844
The Shire of Boddington is a rural township situated in the Peel region of Western Australia, approximately 123 kilometres southeast of Perth.
VIC – Horsham
Population: 17,000
Horsham is midway between Melbourne and Adelaide on the Western Highway. The city is the capital of the rich Wimmera agricultural and grazing land region
